Quick question...
I'm (hopefully) getting a snap press for my birthday in mid June. I've been sewing small size Fuzzi Bunz style diapers and just not adding any fasteners, thinking I'll put snaps on them once I get the stuff to do so in June. Last night it occured to me that this may not work as planned.

When you apply snaps to a diaper at what point do you do it? I don't want the snaps to be rubbing on the baby's skin on the inside of the diaper. On the Fuzzi Bunz I've been looking at the back of the snaps are hidden inside the layers. I don't really know how the snap press works, is it possible to turn the diaper inside out once it's finished (since it's a pocket diaper) and stick the snaps in there, or will that not work because all the fabric will get in the way? I don't want to sew a ton of diapers and then find out that I can't get the snaps on them! That would be a disaster and I wouldn't be very happy using aplix for all of them. I tried that on one and it just looked sloppy and awkward.
  • I have done what you said above with out problem. You can also put the snaps on before you sew (when you start making more) and that helps as well :)
  • It is possible to turn the dipes inside out and add snaps later, however, it is easier to do it pre-sewing.
