SnapSetter?

Has anyone used the SnapSetter? I'm about to start making some fitteds and covers for the first time, and I want to use snaps but can't afford a proper snap press. It's only $9 so if it didn't work it would be a huge loss, but still. If you have used it, how well did it work? At what point does it become worth it to get a snap press instead? I'm assuming I'd get a size 16, since the 14 seems pretty limited. And any hammer should work, right, you don't have to buy theirs? TIA!
• The SnapSetter works well, but it only works with metal snaps. Metal snaps with diapers means rusted out, falling off snaps. I know. I made several diapers using he SnapSetter and they snaps fell off, leaving holes in the diapers. They do work OK for covers if you aren't laundering them regularly, though.

And yes, any hammer will work.
• go here: http://thesnapstore.com

if you're already willing to spend $90, for $108 (with shipping) you can get a professional snap press with a polyresin snap die. many mamas get their snap press from this site, and from all of the reviews i would say that it is a popular press. i think most mamas use size 20 snaps. i'm planning on ordering one after christmas, and i'm going to go through this website. hope that helps!
• double posting for k_bo's info, sorry orig. poster :)

there's a co-op on Yahoo doing KAM snap presses and a big multicolor snaps package for about $115 plus i think a bit more for shipping? i believe this package retails for $230. the co-op is lovinbundles, join up and check it out. they need to meet a quota so come on over :) other co-op notions there as well like elastic, diaper making fabric (organic bamboo, hemp) plus other interesting items like baby wraps and klean kanteens.

oooh...thanks for the heads up!
• I got the snap setter and I can't even get the snaps to work right..

I wouldn't bother.

I went to a different site and got a actual snap press a month later.
